Laparoscopic Hernia Repair
Keyhole repair of inguinal, umbilical, or ventral hernias with mesh reinforcement.
Understanding hernia surgery
Laparoscopic Hernia Repair is a minimally invasive operation performed through a few keyhole incisions rather than one large cut. Using a laparoscope — a slender camera — and fine instruments, Dr. Torres performs the entire procedure while watching a magnified view on a screen. The result is the same surgical outcome with far less disruption to your body.
Is this procedure right for you?
Consider repair if you notice a bulge in the groin, navel, or abdomen — especially one that appears with lifting, coughing, or straining and may ache or burn. Hernias do not heal on their own and can enlarge over time.
Only a surgical consultation can confirm whether you're a candidate. This page is educational and not a substitute for medical advice.
